Haus Maria

Every top score is well deserved. Quality, comfort and cleanliness are everywhere in this family pension, and I’m glad we chose it. There are no words for Brigitte’s kindness.

The breakfast was a highlight: you can help yourself to the cold items, while eggs are made when ordered and brought straight from the pan. Brigitte is a lovely, one-of-a-kind person. Even when breakfast comes with a view of dense fog over the Mainbruhn peak, her smile brightens the day. The location is nearly perfect, and each apartment has its own parking spot beside the building. The ski lift is very close, though there’s no ski-in/ski-out access. Walking over in ski boots was no trouble. Our room was comfortable, spotless throughout, and had a great view and a nice terrace, though we didn’t find the terrace very useful in winter. Towels were changed whenever we needed them. The ski room is small but well organized, with boot heaters. It’s in the basement, so watch your head on the stairs. Two things that would have made the stay even better for me: pillows that are smaller but firmer, and blankets with a little more length and width.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and everything was bio and plastic-free. Great views, and the pool and therme are only 50m away. It’s family-friendly too. The only odd thing was that our room didn’t have a refrigerator.

We were warmly welcomed, and the room was roomy, warm, and very clean. Breakfast the next morning was good too.
