The location is pleasant, and the rooms looked as advertised. But the advertised personal attention and care never materialized. Even an “apartment” is charged per person. The whole stay felt like one of those “free of charge” bus tours where they keep trying to sell you things. A prune to cleanse your bowel cost 2.50, and the liver wrap that was part of the fasting treatment cost another 15 Euros. The infrared sauna was extra too, and there was no plunge pool after it. When fasting became difficult, there was no assistance. If you needed a doctor, you had to find and call one yourself. If you became unwell and had to break the fast, there was no food at all, not even a banana or a piece of bread. Apparently the way to the nearest Shop was too much trouble for anyone there to help. My partner and her friend left halfway through the first week. Nobody apologized, showed concern, or helped with their luggage. The place is in a quiet part of Upper Austria and is promoted as an owner-managed fasting retreat, with plenty of glowing reviews. In reality, it was sad and misleading, and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. This isn't what I'd expect from Austrian hospitality.
