You’re right next to the slopes at Tauplitzaplm, in a really convenient spot. The rooms were clean, the food was good, and the staff were amazing.

Even with the bad weather, we had a lovely hiking stay with our small child. Family Hierzegger were very friendly and helpful. When a storm was coming, they drove us back from our hike in their tractor. The waiters were kind to our child too, and we felt welcome even though there weren’t many other families with kids. I recommend the hotel and hope we can visit again soon.

After skiing, we always have lunch at the accompanying restaurant. It’s very central in the ski area, and we absolutely love it. They serve Austrian classics like Leberknödel and Kaiserschmarren, and every dish we’ve tried has been delicious. Definitely recommend!

After a long day cycling from Salzburg, I was exhausted on the climb up to Tauplitzalm and had started trying to flag down cars. I was so relieved when the owner of Hotel Hierzegger picked me up and brought me to the hotel. They welcomed me warmly and gave me a nice soup. The hotel was fully booked, but the owner helped by taking me to another place where I could stay the night. I’m very grateful for all their help, which is why I’m leaving five stars. I can only recommend staying here. The owner and staff are incredibly kind. Thank you so much! I was doing a summer road bike tour from Germany to Austria, deciding spontaneously where to spend each night.
