Bunzbauernhof is a wonderful place in the lovely village of Obersdorf. We visited in winter, when there was plenty of snow. It’s peaceful here, so anyone after more action will need to look elsewhere. The mountain behind the house is right there for an expedition, the cross-country ski track is a little farther away, and Tauplitz mountain isn’t far either. The rooms and beds are comfortable, and breakfast is as hearty as you could want. Monika, the heart and soul of the place, makes delicious cakes too. You couldn’t ask for more.

Bunzbauernhof is a great choice for families, with a lovely mix of farm life and comfort. The hosts are really friendly, and breakfast is both tasty and appealing. Oberstdorf feels authentic and peaceful, without overtourism. The location is fantastic for visiting Tauplitzalm, Lake Altaussee, and Lake Grundlsee.
