It’s simple accommodation, but everything was neat and clean. Really, who needs free Wi-Fi or a bunch of pointless TV channels?

There was nobody at check-in, and by 7 pm on Sunday everything had been shuttered. The Wi-Fi was crawling at 2G speed, so I switched to cellular data just to post this. I booked a single room and got a single bed, so I suppose I got what I ordered. At this price, the Park Hotel looks much better. I had dinner there.

A nice place, and everything was good. The team made us feel very welcome.

The restaurant served a freshly cooked, tasty supper at a very reasonable price. Breakfast had a good range too, including fresh rolls, cold cuts, cereal, yoghurt and fruit. My room was quiet and comfortable, with blackout blinds and soundproof windows. The receptionist was friendly, accommodating and efficient at check-in, and the staff were kind and attentive throughout. A great stay.

The location is great if you’re visiting Therme Schallerbach, and the food was good. The stay itself was okay, but the room was very dirty, and we even found moths. There were no vegan choices. At the very least, soy milk or vegetable margarine should be standard these days.
