Falkensteiner Therme Golf Bad Waltersdorf

We loved the spacious, spotless room and the pool areas, which were perfect for relaxing. The staff were extremely nice, capable, and always happy to help, and dinner at the restaurant was a delight. Booking the candlelight dinner is a splendid idea, the seven-course meal is not to be missed.

The surroundings are beautiful, the hotel service is great, and the food was excellent. Our room could have been cleaned more thoroughly.

Three stars means okay to me. This is a decent, basic low-end four-star spa hotel, so set your expectations there and you should be satisfied. A couple of years ago, on my first visit, I thought it was amazing. Since then I've upgraded how I travel and stayed at LHW places. Coming back for a quick stop made the basics feel cheap rather than merely inexpensive. There's nothing wrong with basic amenities, but after more luxurious stays the difference is a shock. Don't come straight from the Burgenstock Resort 🙈 I'm not saying they're in the same class, the contrast is just striking. It's not bad, excellent, or even very good, though I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy it.

We had a spacious, clean room, and the restaurant's food was excellent every day. The wine list had a sufficient selection, including wines from local wineries, though the prices seemed a bit high. The wellness area was nice, with pools and saunas large enough for all the guests. The hotel is in a quiet location near the highway, right next to a nicely maintained golf course.
