JUFA Hotel Montafon

We stayed for a weekend with the kids, who had plenty to do in the great playground and climbing area. The food was good, and the staff were super friendly.

The rooms were fantastic for the price, and the atmosphere was great. I stayed five days and really enjoyed the food, with lots of tasty choices for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Staff were friendly, and the location was good. I would go again!

The meals were excellent, and they thoughtfully catered to my Halal dietary requirements. I also appreciated the Christmas cakes and biscuits provided during my three-night stay at JUFA Hotel Montafon. There’s a small football court for guests, though you need to bring your own ball. At breakfast, English Breakfast tea was listed on the menu but wasn’t readily available with the other teas. It would also help to have an area where guests can pick up extra spoons, forks, and napkins. I had a pleasant stay and highly recommend JUFA Hotel Montafon.

The indoor soccer court, table tennis, pool table, toddler play corner, and location all worked well for us. More than one table tennis table would be good, and I’d rather not have paid 2 Eur per pool game. It’s within walking distance of the train station, with easy car access to gondolas and other summer attractions. I liked the breakfast and dinner buffets, and the Halbpension is something not many hotels offer. The food wasn’t amazing, but seemed appropriate for the price, about what I’d expect from a 3-star hotel. It’s a great place for families with kids, though I wouldn’t go without them. I’m giving it 5 stars, but would give 4.5 if I could, and I’d come back. The reception staff seemed a bit unfriendly, as other reviewers have mentioned. Maybe they’re understaffed and underpaid, but they could still try to be friendly. I asked to have the sauna turned on at 6 pm, then had to ask twice more before it was properly on and we could use it at 8:30 pm. Nobody apologized for the delay. The restaurant and indoor play area also got very hot, even though it was early June and not that warm outside. I wonder how hot they get in summer, and whether they use air conditioning. The table tennis and play areas were closed by 9:30 pm, and the reception and lounge were dark at 10 pm. That meant we couldn’t sit together with friends later in the evening, which was a pity. Even if staff understandably want to go home, it would be nice if guests could use a comfortable area, perhaps with table tennis, until at least 11 pm.
