We loved walking the mountain paths and forest trails. Our stay was made welcoming by the friendly service, and the beds were especially comfortable. The large terrace-balcony was lovely for sitting and taking in the mountain views. Breakfast had delicious hot and cold options. We also liked having a nearby restaurant for dinner.

For years I brought my family here for short ski holidays, and recently we came back for a week in summer with all eight of us. Monja and her family were always on hand with trail directions, ideas for things to do, and help booking great local restaurants. Thank you to the Hierzer & Hosp families for a lovely stay at a very affordable price. Gästehaus Alpenblick is a beautiful small hotel on the edge of the beginner ski slope, next to the lift. From Rinnen, about two miles beyond the popular Austrian resort town of Berwang, you get spectacular mountain views in a quieter setting than Berwang, while still having access to facilities, plenty of ski slopes, and hiking and biking trails for summer. Monja Herzer and her parents the Hosps own and manage the property, and create a very friendly family atmosphere. The accommodations are comfortable and clean, with private showers and toilets and beautifully wood carved balconies. Breakfast is served in a cozy room overlooking the village, mountains, and a lake in the distance.

The rooms and location are great, but the hosts were inflexible. The latest checkout they would allow was 10:15 AM on a Sunday, just 15 minutes later. They asked for cash even though they have credit card facilities. They also came into our locked room while we were having breakfast.

From the balcony, we had beautiful mountain views, and the room was nice. The host was friendly and gave us good tips on what to visit and when, depending on the weather, as well as where to go for dinner. Breakfast was good too.
