We remembered this as a cozy, nice restaurant from years ago, so coming back this year was a real disappointment. It took more than an hour and a half for our food to arrive, and the quality had dropped a lot. The vegetables tasted frozen, the meat was overcooked, and the pizza wasn't crisp. It felt like they were focused on maximizing profits and weren't worried because another busload of tourists would show up the following week.

The place looked very dated, and not in a charming way. The pasta didn't seem fresh, and the pesto tasted like it came from a jar. We were told pizza might take 15-30 minutes, but waited over an hour for food that was below average. They served all the ordered-in pizzas first, and the pizza we got was average at best. I wouldn't come back.

The white wine was good, but the pizzas weren't great. My garlic pizza had no garlic taste at all, and the spicy oil I asked for wasn't spicy.

We'd driven more than 50 km and were hungry when we found this restaurant along our route, with only a small detour. They had no table for us because the place was twice full that day, and said we could maybe come back the next day. The atmosphere was nice and the food smelled delicious, but we had to leave without eating. That's why I'm giving two stars. Call and book ahead.

We'd definitely come back for dinner next time we're in Bichlbach. It's a lovely pizzeria with a stone oven, and the owner who served us was very pleasant. The menu and drink list are reasonably priced. Our drinks arrived straight away, and the food came about half an hour after we ordered. Everything was excellent, including the pizza, and the prices were fair.
