Hostel Bregenz

We found somewhere else to stay after the first night. The apartment was very run-down, with everything old and worn, and there were even little unwanted guests, mice. Sadly, the review system requires at least one star.

Sixteen teenagers saved up for this trip, and now we’re stuck with the booking. We’d reserved the end of May, but because of COVID-19, an exceptional circumstance, we tried to cancel in March. Since then, the hostel team has ignored us. There’s been no response about a refund or changing the dates, and management has been extremely questionable and impossible to negotiate with. Don’t pay the full amount they ask for in the booking confirmation. Honestly, I’d avoid booking this hostel at all.

Even by Vorarlberg standards, this is outrageous. The place is so bad that not even rats would feel at home. And it doesn’t seem to matter that it’s Corona, it’s always overcrowded.

The windows are broken, and our reservation apparently meant nothing. We drove seven hours from Lower Austria to Bregenz, then got turned away right there on the street.
