Breakfast had lots of choices, with coffee made fresh, and the staff were warm and friendly. The rooms felt spacious, fresh, and comfortable too. Such a peaceful getaway off the beaten path, and the town is lovely to explore.

There’s a small museum in the cellar, free to visit, with more about the building’s history, though it’s a little morbid. The rooms are roomy and cosy, and the hostess was charming. As someone who loves history and staying in historic places, I thought this was a real treat. I can’t think of anywhere better for quite a distance, and we’ll stay here again on our next trip.

During my 1,000 km bike tour, this was my favorite stop so far. I stayed in the small separate house, which was eclectic and fun but also comfortable, with an interesting feel and a great big shower. Breakfast was wonderful, and there’s bike storage. It’s right in the center by the river, and I’d happily stay longer if I’m in the area again.

The staff were so professional and helpful, and I’m very glad we found this place. We came two nights in a row. The Kasspressknödel Suppe was phenomenal, and the cheese platter was a surprisingly generous portion. On Saturdays they serve venison ragout with dumplings, which you really shouldn’t miss. I even dreamt about it the next night!
