Hotel Hochkönig

We all came away very satisfied. I’ve visited Hotel Hochkönig twice this summer, once in July and again in August with a group of 24 for five nights. The family was incredibly kind and always there when we needed them, and the kitchen served delicious local food and drinks. The rooms were clean and pleasant, the sauna was roomy and warm, and the pool was big enough to swim in. Dienten is a small village, but two lifts run up the mountains in summer, and there are lots of hiking trails. The host knows the area well and gave us great advice for finding interesting places. I’d recommend the hotel to families and anyone who enjoys hiking.

Breakfast had a good range of choices, and they cooked the eggs just right. Dinner was outstanding, especially the homemade dishes. Our room was large and had an ensuite bathroom, and the host gave us a warm welcome along with the friendly staff. The hotel is also well placed for the ski lifts. We were happy with our stay 🙂

We only had two nights here, but the cozy feel of the hotel helped us get some good rest. The staff were friendly, everything was nice, and we had a good time.

The staff were rude when we asked to add two chairs to our table for four. They said they didn’t want to move them back afterward, so we were sent to a table for 12. We had to move the seats there anyway to sit in the shade. Well done.
