The garden was very well kept, and parking was easy. For the price it was okay, and relatively clean, so it worked for one night as a pit stop. Our room was very hot when we arrived, and the whole house needed a good airing. The room description should be clearer: it didn’t mention that there was no door separating the shower and washroom. The restroom was shared with the whole house.

The quiet location was nice, and it seemed ideal for a rest after a long drive. But I’d asked for a parking spot by the door because I had bikes on the rack and got no reply. We ended up parking on the next street and I had to take the bikes off. After a 13-hour drive, I had to hurry after the owner, who seemed eager to get rid of us quickly. It didn’t feel hospitable, and because of how he treated us, we won’t return. Too bad.

There was parking for the car, a shared toilet on the first floor, and a shower in our room. In the morning, we could use the kitchen to make coffee or tea, with an oven and microwave available too. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

A beautiful setting, a comfortable room, and great service, all at a fantastic price.

Spotlessly clean.
