We didn't have a car during our great stay in July 2016, and got around by bus and train all week. Local transport was free with the guest card, with the option to pay extra for a Z ticket that includes the lifts. The place is excellent value and run by a very friendly family. Martinsplatz bus stop is close, and the town center is an easy walk, with restaurants, a supermarket, and a great local bakery. Ehrwald is beautiful, with loads of walks, bike rides, and other activities, plus lovely scenery.

We had a holiday apartment with everything we needed and excellent furnishings. The hosts were friendly and gave us useful ideas for hikes and outings. We'd definitely book at Birkenhof again.

You feel comfortable here right away. The hosts are friendly, easy to reach, and always happy to chat. The apartment has everything you need, and the mountain views and location are lovely. Our holiday went by far too fast. We'd love to return!

The Somweber family were kind, attentive, and helpful throughout. Birkenhof is peaceful, with all the essential shops an easy walk away. Our apartment was beautiful and had everything we could need. I was especially pleased by how clean it was. Of course it should be that way, but we've stayed in places that weren't.
