Gästehaus Alpenstern

Breakfast was simple and nice, with bread, cheese, an egg, deli items, jam and several juices each day. When we asked for fruit, we got a whole plate with four kinds, and the hostess remembered what we liked the next morning. That was a lovely touch. Our room was a cozy attic space with lots of wood, and it was tidy and clean, though nothing fancy. Rooms at the back have a lovely view of the "Zugspitze" mountain. The notes in our room were changed to my own language, which was good service, and the bathroom towels were replaced every two days. We were even allowed to check in an hour and a half before the website's stated time, without having asked in advance. For the price, it was a great experience. The service and homely feel made it easy to recommend.
