VAYA Lechtal

The dinner was the real highlight. I was there with my wife during the opening, and some small details weren't ready yet. We've stayed at many 4/5 star hotels, and I think this one could reach a solid 5 stars. We understand from our experience with family businesses that things take time, and we saw improvements day by day.

Top hotel, 5/5!

The hotel has been beautifully renovated, but since it hasn't been open long, there are still quite a few teething problems. The family rooms are very nice, though there isn't much space or enough wall hooks for ski clothes. The bus to the ski area was never reliable, and I wouldn't trust the ski depot with my own equipment. We often had no hot water in our rooms. When we raised it, the man in the lobby said, “You shouldn't all shower at the same time and take shorter showers...” The food was sometimes very salty. If you order wine, ask to see the wine list, or they may charge you for a very expensive bottle. Drinks at the bar also seemed rather pricey, and the hotel could offer customers a discount. There’s a supermarket across the street. With some adjustments and improvements, this could definitely become a top-notch place.

The kids' room was a real highlight, large, clean, and wonderfully equipped with lots of toys. They also provided a cot, plenty of high chairs, and meals for children. There’s a playground for summer, though we couldn't use it because of the snow. Our modern room had a coffee machine and refrigerator. The food was varied and delicious, but drinks were a bit too expensive. A fireplace in the foyer and live music made the atmosphere cosy.
