We spent two hours trying to sort this out, speaking with the police and Booking.com while our drivers, who had already travelled 12 hours from Poland, waited. We eventually had to urgently book another hotel, where we were welcomed warmly. Only then did the property send what it called a solution. We understood that Booking.com had asked them to find alternative accommodation and cancel our reservation. Our reservation was active before we arrived, and we had received no reply to our earlier requests. When we got to the hotel, staff shouted, acted childishly, and shut the door in front of our people. They also ignored our calls, so we contacted the police just to reach the property. After that, they still blocked us, then began messaging us to cancel. They said the issue was parking a bus. But even after we parked it somewhere else and asked them to accommodate our two people without a vehicle, they kept saying the vehicle meant we couldn't come, though we no longer had it with us. We had paid for a triple room for just two guests, yet they continued telling us to cancel, and we still had to involve the police. Free cancellation had ended the day before. They hadn't answered my messages about making changes before the booking became non-refundable, so cancelling would have cost me money. On site, they offered no help with parking or finding somewhere else, even though Customer Service had received a complaint and they were expected to help. They just turned our people away, shut the doors, and would only send messages through the booking service. This was the worst service I've ever experienced. They don't know how to communicate with customers or run this kind of business. I can't call this service. Avoid the place and don't spend a cent there. We encountered an awful attitude, no support, and completely unprofessional service.

For around €140 for a night with breakfast, this is one of the best budget hotel options. The room was huge, with a bathroom and a living room. No mini fridge, but we managed fine. Breakfast was basic, just bread, cheese, ham, and cereal. The bar looked quite modern and had plenty of alcohol. The style was decent. Recommended.

The location is excellent, the staff are very friendly, and the food is good.

Getting here from the main station is straightforward on buses 130, 131, or 140, though the place is a little outside Salzburg. The rooms are spacious. What really made our stay was Lily. After welcoming us, she could tell we were hungry, got us checked in quickly, and asked us to freshen up so they could serve lunch. She patiently walked us through the map, local transport, popular sights, and bus routes. Each evening, after we'd spent the day around Salzburg, she was there to welcome us back and hear about it. We’ve stayed in quite a few places around Europe, and never had such a warm welcome. The food deserves a mention too. Mr. Hans is the chef, and his cooking was unbelievably tasty. There were Mexican, Asian, American, and local dishes. We often skipped eating out and waited to have dinner back at the hotel. They even went out of their way to prepare a chicken dish on request. I'd really recommend eating here.
