The main disappointment was how much we expected for the price and the four-star rating. Breakfast had few choices and no fresh fruit, and the rooms felt dated. Hot water was unreliable, while children ran and shouted around the hotel and guests from Eastern Europe drank in the bar. It’s a decent three-star place, but not on the same level as Brennhof in the same hotel group. We’d hoped to book Brennhof, but ended up with a family room in due Alte Post Hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The ice cream tasted fine, but those were the smallest scoops I’ve seen anywhere in Europe. When the man handed my son his cone, I thought he was joking. Then he made two more tiny portions without washing the spoon. We won’t be back.

We spent a week here for a ski holiday, and the kids loved running around the floors. The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel was very warm. Our room was spacious, too. Breakfast got a little repetitive, though we discovered we could ask the kitchen for other things, like omelets or scrambled eggs, and those were quite good. The food was otherwise okay, and it was nice to have access to the pool and spa at the main hotel. A lovely little place.

The rooms were clean and fine, though a bit noisy. Dinner was the real problem, and breakfast was a nightmare too. There was just one main course at dinner, with the free buffet limited to salad and a children's menu if there was enough. We were often stuck in a queue waiting for basic things, like chips. It wasn’t the food itself so much as the way meals were handled.

A really pleasant family and community run hotel, with lovely staff. There’s plenty for families to do and the facilities are great. We also loved the wide selection of high quality food.
