The farm animals were a real highlight for us. We got to go into the barn and help feed them. The Hofer family were incredibly hospitable, and breakfast was fantastic. We felt so comfortable during our stay. The apartment was cozy and spotless, and each day we looked forward to coming back to it after being out. We’ll happily recommend Mittersteghof and will certainly return for another holiday. Thanks again for such a lovely time!

The peaceful, family atmosphere made this a great place to unwind, and we’d wholeheartedly recommend the farm. It was clean, well cared for and inviting, and our holiday apartment was beautifully furnished, in excellent condition and spotless. We were warmly welcomed and felt at home straight away. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and clearly look after their guests with love and joy. We’ll definitely come back!

There’s a lot for parents to enjoy too, from a shaded seating spot with a beautiful mountain view to loungers by the lake. The children have plenty to do: horseback riding on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, helping with stable chores each afternoon, a private swimming lake, inflatable boat, stand-up paddleboards, basketball hoop, go-karts for all ages, trampolines at the farm and nearby apartment building, a slide and swings. We spent our summer holiday here with our children at the beginning of August and booked breakfast. Our apartment was around the corner, a two-minute walk from the farm. Mittersteghof has welcoming hosts and a fantastic, peaceful setting with a stunning view. It’s also a good base for scenic or quieter outings, including Unterhofalm, Eisriesenwelt ice caves, Liechtensteinklamm gorge, Salzwelten salt mines and Dachstein Glacier, among others. The accommodation options vary, with some offering breathtaking views and others a very modern style. We wholeheartedly recommend Mittersteghof.
