The first time, the food was amazing. This year it was disappointing and overpriced. The bar and restaurant staff were awesome, though the woman at reception wasn't very helpful.

This was the worst stay I've ever had, despite travelling all the time. At checkout, we suddenly found the nightly price had doubled because the “extra guests” were children being charged as adults. That might have been OK if they had told us beforehand, not at the end. When we objected, we were told “it’s not a children’s hotel.” Then why have a children’s room and menu? The whole thing showed zero customer service and complete incompetence. We didn't let it ruin our holiday, but I still can't believe what a shitshow this was at a pretty mediocre hotel. For that price, you could stay at the Ritz in Vienna and get value for money. Half the hotel was empty, so maybe we were paying their bills for the month.

We spent six nights at Hotel Alpenhof, and it was an easy place to unwind and recharge. The design throughout is harmonious, and you just feel good there. The food was very nice, with every dinner feeling like fine dining. Service was great, the rooms were comfortable, and the spa was excellent, with indoor and outdoor pools, steam room, sauna, and plenty of areas to relax. Everything was very well maintained. We fully recommend it.

Suite 307 was brilliant, and so were the staff, food, and wellness facilities. My son and I came for a short skiing trip, given my wife's knee injury and my daughter living abroad. The ski area has almost doubled with the new lifts, which is good news. The weather was fantastic too and added a lot to the experience. We'll be back.
