Alpin - Apart

We’d go back. The ski bus stops right outside, and although reception wasn’t open all the time, we didn’t need anything from them. Bread had to be ordered and paid for in cash, which was a downside, but cash was easy to get in town. It felt a bit like an Airbnb with some nice extras, including a pool and sauna. Our studio was spacious, clean, and had great views. The kitchen had what we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We were on the top floor of a second building, a few flights up, but after skiing all day the stairs didn’t feel like a problem. Krizstina welcomed us and explained the facilities when we arrived, though she mentioned there was only one toilet roll. They supplied washing-up liquid, tea towels for general use around the blocks, coffee filters for the ground coffee machine, and dishwasher tablets, which came in handy. Since we had to shop for the apartment anyway, picking up a few things wasn’t an issue. We’d seen other comments and brought bin bags from home. Bring a few bin bags and some soap, and buy extra toilet roll, and you should be fine.

We enjoyed sitting outside on the Terrasse, where we often spent time. The apartment was clean and roomy enough for us. There were separate toilet and shower rooms, and the dining and living areas shared one space, which worked fine. It also had a fairly large LG TV with cable, a fridge and freezer, microwave, stove, oven, and coffee machine. We visited for a week in August 2024 and liked both the indoor and outdoor pools. We didn’t use the sauna or the bread and roll ordering service. WLAN was okay, though a little weak in our apartment.

We left early because we just weren’t enjoying the stay. The apartment was dirty, with bugs and hair, the dishwasher was broken, and there was no toilet paper or soap. It felt very basic, and the balcony was so narrow we couldn’t eat there; sitting down also blocked the view. We had to take our own rubbish out, but there were no bins or bags, just one broken bucket. The owners seemed very cheap, and the service was terrible. There were four flights of stairs and no elevator. The only things we liked were the swimming pools and the horseback riding next door.

The family and staff were friendly, and the place was clean and quiet. Our apartment was large, with a lovely view of the alps from the room and both pools. The kids also had a great playground.
