Flachau looks like a lovely choice in winter, and there seems to be plenty of summer hiking in the area as well. The hostess speaks English, so you can still communicate if you don't speak German or Austrian. I'd happily recommend it! :D

It’s very clean and sits at the edge of the village, close to the mountains. The place is quiet, with a lovely lake nearby, and the A10 is close too, making it easy to reach lots of tourist attractions.
