The children loved spending time at the farm, playing table tennis and with the cats, and visiting the stables outside quiet time to pet the horses and the billy goat. They could see the horses being cared for and ask questions. Riding boots and helmets are available to borrow for lessons at no cost. Elisabeth and her team made us feel welcome, and the house and apartment were comfortable and nicely furnished. There's a lovely swimming lake around 800 meters away, and lots of beautiful hiking routes within a half-hour drive, including higher mountain areas like the Dachstein.

We were in Flachau for about ten days, and it rained heavily for part of our stay. We had booked an hour of horseback riding ahead of time for one of those days, expecting not to have rain two days running. With the weather so cold and wet, we politely asked to cancel, but were met with hostility in person while the rain was coming down. They insisted we could ride for an hour in the rain and said they wouldn't give up the money. We decided losing the money was better than risking pneumonia. Never again with these people!

The house is lovely, and the apartment is spacious with everything you need. I'd definitely recommend taking riding lessons here 🥰👍

We called first to check whether pony rides were possible. After arriving as arranged, we were told at the stables that they couldn't do it because they had other guests. Thanks a lot.
