We had 28 people, including 14 kids, for a week in January, and Burg made a memorable base for us. It’s a proper castle you can stay in, with several rooms and both wet and dry saunas. Every room has its own bathroom, WC, and a small kitchen with the essentials. There’s also a huge ski room with a wall dryer. By car, Kappl, Ischgl, and the Ladis-Fiss and See ski areas are about 20-30 minutes away. If you’re after an unusual place, I definitely recommend it.
The atmosphere really draws you in, and all the rooms are warm and cozy in winter. It’s only about a 20-minute ride to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. One of the best places I’ve ever stayed, highly recommended!
We had a fabulous stay in spacious apartments with a big shared area. Arranging bus service for a large group was tricky, though, as organizing anything with that many people is hard. The bus was privately provided and wasn’t offered by the Schloss, so it doesn’t affect my rating.
