We were a group of 9 cyclists at Alpenresort last week. The rooms and lounge have incredible views, and it’s a wonderful place to spend a few nights. If you book, do eat at the restaurant. It’s excellent.

The staff were very kind and attentive, but the wedding that had been planned wasn’t mentioned to us beforehand. Our first day was great; on the second, we felt like second-class guests. There was no salad buffet, and I’m not sure how the meal counted as 5 courses. Breakfast and dinner were moved to a much smaller, less luxurious restaurant space. For the amount we paid, that wasn’t acceptable. The receptionist or manager said she’d get in touch about the inconvenience caused by the wedding, but she never did. Such a shame. I wish I could have rated it higher.

The Kaiserschmarrn was a real highlight, fluffy and caramelized, with a lovely golden color. It’s a treat after skiing or in the afternoon. Alpenresort Walsertal also has a wonderful spa, with different saunas, pools, and wellness treatments. I especially liked the cozy relaxation room, where you can settle by the open fireplace and look out at the snow-covered peaks. The warm welcome and mountain scenery set a relaxing mood from the moment we arrived. The place brings together a comfortable alpine feel, great food, and a spa that makes it easy to unwind. A lovely retreat in a memorable setting.

We had a great stay at Alpenresort Walsertal. The food was top-notch, and we enjoyed the pool and table tennis. From our room, we could see alpacas as well as the mountains. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy nature.
