Forstau is a small, beautiful village, and the setting is stunning. The pension’s views are so lovely you’ll want to stay longer. The apartment was modern and super, and the hosts were communicative and helpful.

The Zwisler family were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the children loved the play area. We stayed in the gorgeous Himmelreich apartment, which had a view of the Dachstein mountain. The farm and apartments are beautifully done, and the scenery in and around Forstau is picture-perfect. With the Summer Card there’s always something to do, rain or shine. Thank you for having us. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.

We’ve already booked another stay with the Zwiesler family for our way home. At Hinteregghof, we felt at home from the moment we arrived with our three children. The farm sits on a hillside with views over the town and the Dachstein, and there’s plenty for children to play with and explore. The hosts were so welcoming and tried to accommodate all their wishes. A barbecue evening, with drinks from the hosts, made us feel even more welcome. Forstau is near Schladming, and many attractions are only a few minutes’ drive away.

The rooms are cozy, there’s a sauna, and children can play with the animals. The only downside is that the shared kitchen could use more cookware for cooking.
