Gästehaus Loithaler

Not a single thing could have been better during our lovely stay. The wifi was very good, the view was beautiful, the room was spotless, and breakfast was great. Peter and his mother were kind and very helpful. If we return to Tirol in Austria, I'd definitely book with their gästehaus again.

We picked a guesthouse at random on the map and landed at hotel Loithaler. What a lovely place. In the small Austrian village of Kapfing, haus Loithaler is a great base for a stay in the Zillertal. The owner was very friendly, the rooms clean, and breakfast was a full buffet. What more could you ask for?

A lovely place, with beautiful mountains all around and horse riding just 100 meters away. It's not far from the main roads, and breakfast is included. It was delicious and made with their own milk. Definitely worth a visit.

I was in room #9 while working in October, and I was shocked by it. The company paid the 71€ per night, because I don't think the room was worth more than 30€. I've stayed in many hotels and guesthouses, and this was the worst room I've ever seen. I was very, very unhappy at Gastehaus Loithaler and would never come back. It's a shame rooms like this can be sold for so much. The room was clean and the staff were friendly, but that was about all that was okay. The single room looked roughly 30 years old in almost every way except for the TV and bed. There was a shower beside the bed, plus a sink in the room, but no bathroom. To reach the toilet, I had to go through the hallway. The entrance door had glass and curtains, so anyone passing in the hallway could see into my room. The balcony doors also seemed about 30 years old. They were very noisy, and wind and cold came in around them. I worked evening and night shifts and went to bed at 3-4 o'clock in the morning, but could only sleep 3-4 hours because light came through the yellow and blue curtains as if there were no curtains at all. After showering, I had to open the doors to let the moisture out. Then it was freezing day and night. The insulation was probably 30-40 years old, or perhaps there wasn't any.
