Alpenresidenz Ballunspitze

We came back this summer after a great stay last year, and had just as good a time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was good, and there were lots of activities for the kids. I loved the renovated spa area, and my massage this year was excellent too.

We enjoyed wandering and cycling around the beautiful area. The rooms were basic but clean, the pools were nice and family friendly, and the wellness area was great for families wanting to relax. The food was nice, though nothing special. Service could be better: one waitress was outstanding, and the staff at check-in were great, but the rest felt cold. Our son was disappointed by the indoor children's area. The children's program was limited, with few outdoor activities like the ones we've come to enjoy at other kinder hotels. The video games in the lobby were distracting for him, and it'd be nice if they weren't there. All in all, the vacation was okay.

I've stayed here several times now. Great service and lots for families to do. A++

We've never stayed at a better family hotel in Germany and Austria. Friends who have been coming every winter for a while recommended it, and it looks like we'll be making it our regular winter trip too 😁 The team is great, with loads for kids to do. The arrangement with the ski school in Galtür means parents get some time to themselves while the kids are taken to and from the slopes. We can finally ski together, or relax in the hotel's spacious, comfortable spa. The nearest Galtür ski resort is a little small and doesn't have good beginner slopes. Ischgl is only 15 minutes away by bus, though, and you can't ask for much more from it, whatever your taste or ability.
