The Kamp joins the Danube nearby, and the river scenery is amazing, with little hamlets and magical watchtowers along the way. The area’s history is just as striking. I stayed here while visiting my good friend George and his family, who live close by. The people were wonderful, the food was very good and inexpensive, and Mrs Pointner was a lovely keeper. It’s easy to take the train to Vienna, and the Czech Republic is just north. I could easily settle in this beautiful, rich, historic place.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the setting was so quiet, even though the train station is only a 15-minute walk away. Breakfast was excellent, everything was very clean, and there’s a lovely big garden with a swimming pond. I’d be glad to stay here again.

Being so close to the center meant I could get around without a car. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the air conditioning was a real blessing with 37 degrees Celsius outside. The garden and swimming pond felt like a peaceful, cool oasis. A guest fridge would be a nice addition, maybe with a few wines available for an impromptu drink.

The garden behind the house was a lovely place to unwind, and the rooms were really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were very nice. I had a great stay and will definitely come back.

The room felt too small, dated, and overpriced, so I didn’t think the value was good. A hotel in Vienna cost the same and was much more comfortable, stylish, and new. The garden with its swimming pond was beautiful, breakfast was nice, and the hosts were friendly.
