Explorer Hotel Montafon

We stayed for two nights with my dog, and the breakfast was really good, with plenty of choice and good quality organic food. You could make scrambled eggs on the stove, so they were fresh and warm instead of sitting in a pot getting cold. The rooms were lovely and the beds comfy. The staff were very friendly, especially Coco. My dog has never been treated so nicely at a hotel. We'd come back!

The food and entertainment were good, and our room was quite large with lots of storage for ski gear. You can rent equipment there and store it, though in high season the storage spots are usually all taken. We got the room for a week through a deal, at a pretty low price. One hassle: if you need to leave during the day, there's nobody at reception until late afternoon. Arriving early could mean standing in front of an empty desk.

For a place called a budget hotel, it doesn't really feel budget priced. Still, the rooms are nicely designed and roomy, breakfast has plenty of choice, and the sauna area is spacious. We had a really good time at this young, trendy hotel.

The breakfast was outstanding and served until 10:30, and the bar stays open late. It's everything you need before and after a day skiing in beautiful Montafon. Thanks, explorer hotel, for such a great stay. I highly recommend Explorer Hotel and am already looking forward to coming back soon.
