We were happy with our stay in apartment D6, and Mr. Ramert was kind and helpful. When my wife once forgot to leave the key at reception, he opened the room for me. He was also ready to help with anything else. My 12-year-old daughter asked me to write a nice review because he showed us where to find shoes for her after he couldn't recall the shop's name or exact address. I was influenced by her request, but I stand by what I've written. D6 is in the center of Bad Hofgastein, on the third floor, with a balcony looking toward the beautiful Stubnerkugel peak. The paid parking is in the backyard. The apartment has two bedrooms and can comfortably sleep six: there are two more places on the surprisingly comfortable sofa bed. The kitchen has plenty of pots and dishes for heating food, a large fridge-freezer, a dining table, and two coffee machines, one for drip coffee with a metal filter and one for Cremesso capsules, which you can buy at reception. There isn't a microwave. The heating was too strong during a warm week at the end of February, so I turned it down. The free ski bus stops one block away, at its first stop, so there may still be seats available; it gets quite full at later stops. Billa, M-Preis, and other shops are within walking distance. Nearby AlpenTherme has a fitness center, a 25 m pool, thermal pools and whirlpools, including outdoor ones, four kinds of sauna, and a family area with two long slides. I even managed to swim outdoors for an hour in February, though I'm not a winter swimmer. If you arrange it with the owner of Awaldi restaurant, you can charge an electric car there at a better rate than at a public charger.
