Our room was pretty clean, but really cold. There wasn't any heating, though they did give us an electric heater. The food was okay, nothing special, just like anywhere else.

It has been almost a year since my GVA in February-March 2025, and I still look back on my three weeks at Bärenhof fondly. I even recommended it to my friend Markus, who's now there for a GVA. If I'm prescribed another one, it'll be Bad Gastein and Bärenhof again. My room, number 445, was practically brand new after renovation and had a fantastic view. I was welcomed warmly, and everything was explained in detail. The staff throughout the place were attentive and did their best, from reception and the therapists to the restaurant. Special thanks to Rosemarie for always coordinating everything so well. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Bärenhof Health Center for a GVA.

The therapies were varied, professional, and tailored to individual goals. The therapists clearly focus on each person rather than following one approach for everyone, and I came away with helpful ideas for looking after my health and well-being long term. My room was spacious and comfortable, with a balcony and a wonderful mountain view that made it easier to relax. The food was excellent, freshly prepared, varied, and there was plenty of choice. Staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful from the first day, so I felt welcome and looked after throughout my spa stay at Bärenhof in Bad Gastein. A very successful visit, and one I can wholeheartedly recommend.

The Bärenhof is conveniently placed, just a three-minute walk from the thermal baths and five minutes from the train station and gondola lift. The Christmas and New Year's Eve buffets and dinners were superb. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the therapists excellent, and the facility was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The food was outstanding and varied. Highly recommended as a health resort!
