We’ve spent our holidays at Bismarck Hotel every year for the past 10 years and have never regretted it. The outdoor thermal pool is a treat at 33 degrees Celsius, whether the sun is out or it’s snowing, and the wellness facilities make it easy to relax even when the mountain weather is bad. The hospitality and food are highlights too. Breakfast and dinner always have so many tempting things that it’s hard to leave the table, so even with skiing every day, keeping your weight steady can be a challenge. It isn’t cheap, but the hotel is nearly always full, which says a lot. I’d really recommend it for a wonderful, relaxing stay.

The whole place was spotless, and the food was exquisite. More than anything, we were struck by how warmly the owners and staff looked after us. We’ve never felt so welcomed and cared for at a hotel. We’re going back to Belgium relaxed and grateful for such a wonderful stay.

Having meals and the ski pass included was a great option. The staff were attentive and helpful the whole time, and there were delicious food choices and very good amenities. It’s an amazing hotel, and I’d definitely come back.

My son finally got to enjoy hotel food without feeling hungry. His gluten-free meals were just as good as the regular ones, and the cooking overall was incredible. I especially want to praise the catering for people with special dietary needs. We had a wonderful vacation and didn’t feel we were missing anything. The rooms were clean, the wellness area was fabulous, and the staff were patient, knowledgeable, and wonderful. I also want to thank them again for the warm welcome and care. The Wendler family must have put a tremendous amount of work and time into creating this place over generations. In many hotels you can feel like a number or a source of income, but at Bismarck Hotel I felt like a warmly welcomed guest. The care here is above standard. They even asked us to make a sandwich or take a snack for our drive back to Vienna on the morning we left. During our three days there, the hotel also surprised us with a stuffed toy for my two-year-old grandson and sparkling wine for the table when they realized it was my birthday. Our family, including my sons and daughter-in-law, fell in love with the place. The service was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was plentiful and mostly excellent. Having an assigned table for the whole stay made it feel like our own spot, and we had a reserved parking space too. The spa and pools were clean and well maintained. Our room was quietly and promptly made up while we were at breakfast. The one downside was the heat wave: there were no air conditioners or fans in the rooms. I’d definitely love to come back.
