Hotel Stubnerhof

There was a parking problem at first, though the staff sorted it out quickly through the restaurant. It would have been perfect if guests had been told from the start that parking issues could be handled there. The restaurant food was tasty, but the menu is quite limited. Breakfast has a wide selection, though many items are gone by the end of the serving time, so it’s better to come early. The rooms are excellent, modern, clean and feel new and well maintained. It’s a peaceful setting outside the city, with a beautiful mountain river nearby. A pleasant stay overall, and a few small organizational improvements could make it even better.

A quiet atmosphere and a nice view made this a good place to relax. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and helpful.

The dining room’s retro style gives it an Austrian feel, and the kitchen is great. It’s a nice, cozy hotel in the mountains with a pleasant view. Our room was freshly renovated and very clean. We’ll definitely return.

We skied Schlossalm with our older child and took our five-year-old beginner to Angertal Gasti park. There’s easy access to slopes for all abilities. Bad Gastein is nice for an evening stroll and an apres-ski drink, and there seem to be lots of summer hikes starting right from the hotel, though we haven’t explored them yet ;). It’s a beautifully located, family-run hotel in Bad Gastein, with comfortable modern rooms and an onsite restaurant serving buffet breakfast and homemade dinners. We’ll definitely come back!
