We had a wonderful time sitting in the garden under the trees, looking straight out at the lake. The Austrian food was delicious. Service was good, if a little disorganized: waitresses roamed around and asked about our order several times, which was amusing. We’d visit again.

The location is lovely, with a boat wharf and swimming area nearby, and you can walk up to the top of Traunstein mountain from there. Prices seem reasonable for the setting. The restaurant has beautiful scenery and friendly service. Weekdays are best for a quieter, more relaxed visit.

The sweetest lady, though also the oldest and slowest, finally came to our table after 30 minutes. We then found out the kitchen had stopped cooking at 9 PM. Nobody spoke any languages besides German.

A really clean, cosy hotel in a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying nature. I loved having my morning coffee by the lake.

It’s a very nice place, so I’m kind of sad the experience turned negative over such a silly language barrier. The staff didn’t speak English at all and seemed to ignore us for quite a while, until I started speaking German to them.
