Waldesruh

At first, the hot water wasn’t running properly. The host responded right away and took urgent steps to improve things for us, which we really appreciated.

The one real plus is the beautiful location. Otherwise, I’d avoid staying here if you can. Our rooms were dirty, breakfast was poor, and two of the three dinners were bad. The coffee machine worked in the dining area in the morning, but by evening it had been unplugged. There was no fridge in our room, so we asked them to put our bottle in theirs. They just grinned and said, “not included in the service.” Throughout the stay, it felt like they were cutting costs at our expense instead of looking after us. They barely spoke English, often nobody was at reception, and we couldn’t pay with a Revolut card, only an OTP one. To top it off, our charger went missing during cleaning and they denied taking it.

It’s a decent place, but the lack of heating, old furniture, and low-standard paintwork don’t match the price.

The host was warm and very helpful, and the food was great. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. Fully recommend it.
