Gasthof Gosauschmied

The atmosphere was relaxed and warm, and the service was friendly. We had a nice dinner at Hotel Gosauschmied. The fish was crispy and well prepared, and the rump steak had great flavor, though it was a little chewy. It was cooked medium-rare. The fresh orange juice was very good, and so were the ice cream and decent wine.

The waiter was rude and confrontational throughout. I came in for a late dinner to meet friends and told him at the door I was looking for them. He didn't greet or acknowledge me. I found them without any help, then he came to our table and complained about our choice of table and having to clean it for us. I asked to speak with the manager, but nobody came. This place has no customer service and doesn't seem to care about customers. Go only if you're okay with being treated badly.

We stopped in for a late lunch. The trout was fresh and delicious, and the pizza was tasty too. Staff were polite and the service was good. Really nice meal. 👍🏻

After visiting the Gosausee, we found this lovely restaurant at the hotel. It was spotless, and the beautiful setting, delicious food, and superb service made the visit especially memorable. We had fresh trout, pork cutlet, and pesto pasta, all cooked perfectly. We were travelling with a child with special needs, and when Andrea, I think that was the staff member or owner's name, noticed he was struggling to cut his pasta, she quickly helped get his food ready. She was kind and friendly, and could communicate with us in English. That was far more help than we expected. We'd love to return to the restaurant or hotel if we're back in the area. Thank you!
