It was the last place open in town, so after a long day of travel we ended up here. We’re so glad we did: dinner was delicious and filling, and we had a couple of good biers. Prost!

My husband’s roast deer was so tender it melted in your mouth, and my chicken salad with potatoes was delicious too. We also tried both homemade strudels, the best I’ve ever eaten. The food and service were top notch, with nothing to fault.

We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was great. I’d recommend the fried chicken breast and apple strudel. The roast pork belly tasted a bit undercooked to me, and the bread dumplings that came with it weren’t to my taste. The friendly staff recommended a light beer, and the cozy atmosphere and amazing view outside were great. Pricing was decent, under 50 euros for two people.

We dropped in for lunch and were really impressed. The food was great, and the service was too. Definitely recommend it.

After sampling apple strudel at several well-known cafés in Vienna and Salzburg, we decided the best one we tried was here at Kirchewirt.
