It was a wonderful stay. The hotel's history comes through in its traditional style, while modern comforts make it a standout choice in Graz.

At lunchtime they were serving bar food, but my toasted cheese sandwich took an hour to come. They blamed the delay on a busy restaurant, even though I could see only two tables occupied. I said they shouldn't take food orders if the kitchen was too busy, and the waiter rudely told me to go tell the kitchen myself. Later, I raised it at reception and got verbal abuse in return. I felt completely unwelcome and will definitely never go back.

There's a real sense of history here, and stepping inside feels like travelling back in time. The hotel is beautiful and clean, with very convenient on-site parking. Staff were polite and discreet, and the restaurant was sophisticated, serving incredible food at a price that wasn't expensive. I strongly recommend it!

8/10
A charming place in a lovely neighborhood, with friendly staff and a spacious room. I appreciated the eco touches, including the lack of a mini fridge. My main complaint was the mattress: it had dips on both sides from being overused. Maybe it's time to replace it?

The spa was really nice, and the small gym had enough equipment for some cardio. Service was very kind. The main letdown was breakfast, which felt too expensive for what was offered, more like a three-star service. The hotel itself is four-star superior.
