A clean, tidy spot for a night’s rest, conveniently close to the highway. Breakfast was nice. It’s pleasant enough for an overnight stop, though nothing special. The nearby aqua area might also make it a handy place to stay.

The staff were kind, which was the one good part of the stay. The room was in the attic on the second floor, with no air conditioning and a strong musty smell. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom either. The upbeat reviews had made this seem like a high-end hotel, so arriving and seeing all the animals on the first floor, including the bear, was a shock. At breakfast, there were dead flies in the room at 7:15 in the morning. Someone could have checked before opening. There was also a marmot and a badger in that same room. And everyone seemed to smoke, from the bar and hotel staff to the guests.

We got there late and couldn’t find anywhere to eat. When we arrived that day, we first drove past because a sign outside said the place was closed for vacation. A note on the door told us where to find the key and gave a phone number for more information. Breakfast was set for 6-7 am, which felt unreasonable on vacation and wasn’t worth getting up for. If you’re on vacation and don’t plan to provide service, you shouldn’t invite guests. I can’t say how the place is normally run.
