I’m still at the hotel, but wanted to write this now. The food is so delicious, and the service is on another level. Everyone is friendly and patient, joking and laughing with us until we feel right at home. Our toddler can get pretty loud, but they joke with him instead of making us feel awkward. He’s even fallen for one of the waitresses. We have a spacious two-bedroom suite, which is great for a family. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and there are cozy places to relax. There’s also a very nice playroom for the kids. I could keep going...

We lucked into this hotel. I’d been looking for somewhere with flexible cancellation, a pool, and breakfast included, and it looked nice. What we found was perfect: a huge, spotless room with daily housekeeping and an exceptionally welcoming team. The food was gourmet, thoughtful, and different. Our family won’t forget the soups, especially the dreamy corn cream soup. Kids are well catered for too, with a playroom, special meals, and ice cream in the lobby and at every dinner. There’s a heated pool and a spa with 4-5 kinds of sauna, all clean and well maintained. Maria and her family are amazing, and the hotel feels close to perfect. The town is beautiful, with attractions, bike trails, cable cars, a lovely park for kids, and fun mountain activities. We’ll definitely be back!

We ate here during a street party or celebration and really enjoyed it. The menu was short, but had a good range. We ordered pork and kaspressknödel suppe, and were impressed with both. The pork belly was crisp, and the other cut of pork was just as good, though I can’t remember what it was. The sauerkraut, sauce, and semmelknödel served with it were all tasty. Service and attention were very good too, and the setting is beautiful. A great meal, 5/5.

The personal, friendly service from Toni & Maria (senior) / Toni & Maria (junior) and their teams at Hotel Alte Post was a huge plus. Everyone who looked after us was amazing, and nothing was a problem. It was easy to chat with other guests, and we’d return for the staff alone. We had half board. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with different choices each day, and we loved the dinners too. The food was always tasty and presented beautifully. The hotel’s #WeShowYouTheMountains service is great. Sign up for a daily hike and they’ll drive you to the starting point, with a hotel guide included. We enjoyed the chance to meet other guests on the walks. After a day of hiking, the impressive Spa was a lovely place to unwind. Paul & Hans
