We were half board, and dinner was a highlight: every evening brought something different, and the quality was really high. The staff were so friendly and helpful, too. Nothing felt like a bother. The location is hard to beat in Grossarl. You can ski in from the blue piste, and the gondola station is right there. The pharmacy and supermarket are only seconds away on foot, and there’s plenty of parking. We also made good use of the big ski boot room and the spa. Our room had a lovely updated bathroom, and the quiet room we requested was genuinely quiet. We didn’t hear a thing. The large shared terrace was beautiful, and the kids absolutely loved it. My one small criticism is the children’s area. It seems designed for ages 3-6, but older kids use it without any control, so I think the space could work better. Even so, we’d love to stay here again.

The restaurant visit left us disappointed. A blonde waitress seemed to think we couldn’t understand German, and spoke badly about us to other guests. She said something along the lines of, “Why can’t the stupid Hungarians speak German, and why can’t they decide what to order?” We had only been there about five minutes. It felt really insulting to be treated that way.

The prices aren’t low, but they felt fair for the quality. Drinks arrived straight after we ordered, and the food was good, even very good. The service was lovely, and they followed the Covid-19 restrictions. I’d recommend the place.

The food was quite decent, but ordering was a bit of a wait. When the waiter finally took our dinner order, they never asked what we wanted to drink. The waiters also didn’t seem to appreciate small jokes.

We never got to eat at the restaurant. We arrived before closing, but weren’t able to order food. As soon as one waitress realized we were from Hungary, she started joking to the other guests that we were stupid because we couldn’t speak German. My sister-in-law understood every word. ;) It seems like a bigger issue to me if a waitress can speak only her native language and not understand any English, but who am I to judge? I’m just a Hungarian girl who speaks Hungarian and English and wanted a nice dinner. Shame on me!
