The apartments were modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, and there is loads of room outside with loungers, hammocks, and comfortable places to sit. The farm is genuinely working, so you get to see daily life firsthand rather than a staged farm visit. The whole family was friendly and easy to get along with, and horse riding was a highlight for both kids and adults. There are hiking trails right from the farm, plenty of outings nearby, and space on the farm's own "football pitch" to run around. The children especially loved all the animals: goats, chickens, horses, dogs, rabbits, and a donkey. Fresh eggs and the farm's own honey made breakfast lovely, and there's a herb garden too. We also enjoyed the barbecue area and campfire spot in the evenings. A peaceful, secluded place to unwind. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this farm. We'll definitely be back, thanks for a great time!

What we offer is a real farm and a normal, wonderful family, doing our best to meet guests' needs. We want to hear what you wish for, let you take part in farm life, and explain things. But we're not an event or school farm, and can't provide formal teaching. Our children are happy to take guests to the barn in their free time, but they aren't trained entertainers and sometimes have less time or energy, especially during the final weeks of school and exams. The farmer's work often happens out of sight. He looks after the building systems, hot water, lawnmower, repairs, the barn, firewood for the wood chip heating, and the general atmosphere on the farm. He listens to ideas, from adding a terrace or a wooden bathroom wall to fixing the sandbox or campfire benches, and finds solutions. When he can, he also enjoys introducing guests to farming. My husband is the pillar of the farm, and his dedication shows even in small details from childhood onward. A hostess is supported by a whole family. We welcome feedback because we can get absorbed in our work, and we take your enjoyment seriously. We're grateful for all the positive reviews and for the time we've shared with guests, for watching your children grow, for the things you've brought to our daily lives, for broadening our horizons, and for your patience and appreciation.

The children had a great time, luckily they didn't really notice how unwelcoming the men in the family were, though they were a bit disappointed by how little contact they had with the animals. The farmer's wife was genuinely friendly. She groomed the horses with us twice, chatted, and shared some information, and the children liked the afternoon activities. Still, we won't return or recommend the farm. The horses are mostly out in the paddock, the cowshed can't be entered, and the goats can only be petted over the fence. We were shown very little of the farm and never saw inside the cowshed. The boys in the family are teenagers or adults, unlike the small children shown in the website photo. We barely spoke three sentences with the farmer. The eldest son led the riding lessons and made it obvious he had no interest in us or the activity. It was very uncomfortable, but there wasn't another way for the children to ride. He didn't explain how to approach the animals or the farm, gave only one-word answers to practical questions, and barely interacted with us during the 25-minute walk with the horses. The youngest son was meant to show us how to muck out the horse stalls, but after a very short explanation he disappeared and didn't come back. We were left standing there not knowing what to do, so we didn't return. The apartment and the farm are beautiful, idyllically set on a hill, and the farmer's wife is quite nice, but we found the rest of the family inhospitable. We chose the place because of the good Google reviews and appealing descriptions on "Holidays on the Farm" and the website, but we can't share those positive opinions. There wasn't much to do, so we went on more excursions, which is certainly possible nearby. For that, we'd choose somewhere less remote. What a shame!

A beautiful view and a quiet, friendly atmosphere make this a lovely place to relax. Haberlehof has spacious grounds and comfortable holiday apartments with everything needed for cooking. You can spend time with the horses, goats, chickens, dogs, donkey, and cows, and if you ask, help with small jobs like stable work. The mountains, nature, and animals are wonderful.
