The rooms are lovely, but I can't justify the price. Check-in took ages, though at least the receptionist was very friendly. Breakfast was supposed to start 45 minutes earlier than it did, and they were still adding food after it began. The buffet wasn't complete until an hour after the scheduled start.

We'd definitely return to the Goldener Engl Boutique Hotel. Stefan, the manager, is an outstanding host, and the Augustiner restaurant has a great atmosphere for winding down in the evening. The hotel is right in the heart of Hall in Tirol, so it's easy to get everywhere. Our room was very clean and well looked after, and breakfast was plentiful, with everything we wanted.

Aside from the price, I think this is a good place for a vacation. We had the top-floor room, the most expensive option at around $340 USD, with a sauna and a bathtub by floor-to-ceiling windows. The standard double bed felt a little small. The room was quite dusty, and since I often have allergies, I sneezed now and then. If you're driving, the hotel has its own parking area, and sometimes there are spaces available.
