The children can play outside all day here, enjoying the freedom. They’re happy exploring the meadow and the farm animals, riding the ponies, and petting the kittens and the little lamps that happen to be on the farm. That’s a big part of why this is such a special place for us as a family. We stayed at the Zirbenhof with the Granegger family from August 2nd to 9th, our third visit, and once again had an unforgettable, relaxing week. It feels like a second home. The setting is peaceful, away from the bustle of Heiligenblut but close enough to reach everything easily. Johannes and Edith Granegger are warm, welcoming hosts who make you feel at home right away. The rooms are rustic, traditional, and cozy, and the cleanliness is impeccable year after year. There isn’t a speck of dust in the corners or cupboards. We love coming back and are already looking forward to the next visit.

We love the rustic atmosphere just as it is, especially with the magnificent view of the Großglockner. Johannes and Edith made our week wonderful, from the fantastic breakfast and helpful hiking tips to the delicious three-course dinner each evening.

The Panorama apartment was wonderfully quiet, with a fantastic view, and made it easy to relax and unwind. We stayed there for our vacation from July 6th to July 10th, 2025, and found the whole experience indescribably beautiful. The family who own and run the place were incredibly friendly and kind. We’ll definitely return.
