A great hotel to have a nice rest before long walks around the city. Hotel "Edelweiss Pension" is located in Heiligenblut. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Grossglockner Heiligenblut Ski Resort, Rossbach Gondola and Casino Bad Gastein.

We could dry our rain gear in a service room, which was a big help. The owners were so welcoming: when we arrived, they even moved their vehicles to give us a covered spot for our bike. Breakfast at the house was great, and there’s a really good restaurant just down the street for dinner. One owner also spent a few years working for Arnold Schwarzenegger in California.

Christian Fleißner and his wife made us feel at home and were always there if we needed help. They shared plenty of useful information about hikes and things to do around Heiligenblut, and we tried a few of the strong Schnapps they make themselves. The breakfast buffet was included, with a nice choice of food and very good, strong coffee. We stayed as a couple for a few nights at the small, family-run Pension Edelweiss. Our room had been completely renovated and was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed. From the balcony there are beautiful mountain views, including an easy view of the famous Grossglockner. It’s a charming little place. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. I’d choose it again if I’m in the area. Auf Wiedersehen und Vielen vielen Dank. Good bye and thank you again. Jan.

I’ve stayed at Edelweiss many times and have always had a very pleasant experience. I couldn’t book this time, possibly because they were closed or fully booked that week, so I’m staying at the neighbors’ place instead.

The owners were so helpful and nice. The place is beautiful and exceptionally clean, and the homemade breakfast was tasty. Everything feels lovingly done, with lots of wood :)
