A lovely spot in the garden lets you settle in with a book, and the owners are friendly and happy to help. We were there for a week and had no complaints about the comfortable, quiet apartment or the generous breakfast. The lido is peaceful too, just a short walk away. Hermagor is easy to get to by train for shopping, and other things are within walking distance. For people used to city life and travelling without a car, it works well if you pack light, say a backpack and shopping trolley. Pressegger See station is around a 45-minute walk, with part of the route along the pretty lakeside path.
