The houses are compact but laid out really well, with plenty of storage for clothes and the rest of your stuff. Our six-person house even had two WCs, which was brilliant. There’s a dedicated heated room for skis and snowboards, including space to warm your boots. We stayed for a week with family and friends, and found the facilities handy: parking, a restaurant, and reception for directions or food and coffee. The skibus stop is about 350 m from reception, just across the highway, and Nassfeld's 110 km of pistes are around a 20-25 minute drive away. After skiing, children can use the outdoor playground or indoor playroom with table football. There’s also a mini club for little ones and a gym for adults, with a view of Pessegger lake from the treadmill. I highly recommend it for families or groups of friends.

Once we got settled, it turned into a pleasant stay, and the spa was amazing even though it’s in a different location. Getting started at reception, though, was a mess: they said our chalet wasn't ready, forgot to give us keys for two booked chalets, and overcharged me, so they had to refund some money. I also found it absurd to have to make my own bed on vacation at paid accommodation. You're paying for an experience, and a freshly made bed is one of the simplest, most essential parts of that.

We visited at the beginning of June, when there were very few people and the weather was awesome. The houses looked brand new, and we were pleasantly surprised by their quality and the services, including the heated pool. It's a great base for hiking, with plenty of routes for experienced hikers and small children alike. On our first day, a pack of horses was feeding right next to our house. All in all, a great place to stay.
