The owner and staff were very helpful, and the location near the cable car was convenient. The rooms were large and clean, breakfast was tasty, and there were two saunas.

Hotel Wallner was new to us, and I’d happily return. The location is excellent: there’s a sports and grocery store opposite, the gondola is right across the street, and restaurants are an easy walk away. There’s also a large parking lot. The price for what you get is acceptable given the location. We booked two rooms but were given an apartment instead, with two bedrooms, private shower and WC, a shared living area and kitchenette, and a balcony over the main street. Despite facing the street, it was quiet. Later I moved to room 15, which was suite-sized, with a large balcony and a wonderful view of the Totes Gebirge. Partitions between the balcony sections would have been a nice privacy touch. The beds were excellent, the blackout curtains top-notch, and we slept wonderfully. Mr. Wallner and the whole team were warm, friendly, and helpful, just what you hope for. It was off-season and we were the only guests, so reception wasn’t staffed all the time. I didn’t mind calling to reach someone. Breakfast was fine. We had to ask for a boiled egg, but that was no big deal. The heating wasn’t on at first, though they fixed it quickly. I can say a definite yes to coming back.

We’ll definitely come back. It’s peaceful here and well placed for mountain outings. The beds were the best we’ve had in a hotel for ages, and that often decides it for us. No back pain or anything. Breakfast is a small spread but excellent, and the owner is friendly and accommodating.

We needed a room at the last minute for one night during semester break, for a girls’ getaway, and the Wallner family welcomed us so warmly. The owner was especially friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious, clean, and fairly new. Breakfast was fresh, regional, delicious, and plentiful. It’s centrally located, with the ski rental shop and slopes just a short walk away. Definitely recommend it!
