The apartment itself was very clean and well located, but the rest of the experience was deeply unpleasant. Communication was poor, the extra costs weren't explained correctly, the beds were uncomfortable and creaky, and the kitchen and basic supplies were missing several things. We also had a weak Wi-Fi signal that kept dropping, no hand soap, too little toilet paper with no refills, and only got a handwritten receipt after asking several times. The first morning, after a very quiet welcome and key handover, Ms. Schiestl shouted at us on our way to ski because we'd brought our snowboards into the apartment after arrival to adjust the bindings. No one had told us this wasn't allowed, and there was no alternative except outside in the dark at -10°C. We were careful not to make a mess or damage anything. I could understand frustration if we'd been warned, but losing control and yelling at guests without explaining the rule first was unacceptable, and I'd never experienced anything like it. We were shouted at again when we returned, and I was called a liar. The hostess had entered the apartment without permission while we were out and found another snowboard there, which of course we couldn't take out because we were on the slopes. The unpleasant atmosphere hung over the rest of our stay. As we'd feared, we were charged more than €100 in extra costs that we had supposedly been told about, but weren't, either in writing or by phone. We couldn't find affordable alternatives because it was holiday time in the Netherlands and Bavaria, otherwise I'd have left then and there. Despite asking repeatedly, there was no separate bed, just a wooden bench in the kitchen with bedding on it. I had specifically called to ask whether it was a sofa bed or a real bed and was assured it was a proper bed. The family seemed overwhelmed by hosting guests, and I can only advise against staying here for several reasons. Other problems included a Wi-Fi password that was missing at first, with a note we apparently should have thrown away, incomplete kitchen equipment, including no pan, sponge, dish soap, dish towel, or hand broom, and too few dishwasher tablets. The German notices in the apartment were barely understandable.
